It is a girl!

Skanda Mata kept us in suspense and the calf's birth was overdue for 11 days. Despite the heatwave, Skanda was in good shape up to the end and delivery was really fast and easy. There is something so delicate in the calf's birth, the enormous mother's energy shines from the mother and had the caretaker in tears. She licked her infant daughter vigorously. This way, she assures the opening of the airways and good blood circulation for her child.
Quite soon the mother began to gently nudge the calf and went off a little further to call her little newborn. In this way she attracts the newborn immediately to its feet and suckle. The first milk is vital to the survival of the calf. It must be obtained as soon as possible after birth to allow the calf to receive antibodies.
The girl, named Lakshmi, was so high-spirited that he was on her feet and suckling already half an hour old. Weaker calves sometimes need man to assist.
It's wonderful to follow a mother-daughter relationship. How wonderful a mother is a cow. Lakshmi drinks milk about 7 times a day. If a calf is separated from its mother, either immediately or within a few days, as in the case of present-day stalls, the calf receives milk only 2 or 3 times a day. This results in slowed growth, cold stress, stinginess, extreme fluctuation in acidity in the gastric fluids and diarrhea. In addition to wrong suckling manners, diarrhea may be caused by dirty beverage containers.
And think about what energy is in the milk of a cow tha is missing it's calf. That sad energy then moves on to us people who use dairy products. People should think about how much they harm themselves when they take in the animals' pain and sadness in the form of food itself. On this subject, I will write a separate text later.
If any of you readers would be interested in taking "happy cows" to take care of, committing to their upkeep or otherwise want to be involved, then send me an email. My sincere hopes are that these similar little barns would come to Finland, to allow as many people as possible to choose what kind of milk they want.
