JERSEY COWS

Our dairy cattle cows are of the breed Jersey. The small sized, beautiful eyed Jersey cow originates from the Jersey Islands. By nature, Jerseys are serene and gentle. Jerseys are very light and petite and have less trouble with legs than the big sized and heavy bread cows. Jersey milk is known for its high fat and protein content.

SHAILA PUTRI

Shaila Putri was born 8th of November, 2013. She is the eldest and the head of the herd. By nature, very gentle and always longing for affection, Shaila Putri is a lady who nevertheless keeps order when needed. She came to the farm together with Skanda Mata on 24th of August, 2016. When she arrived to our farm, Shaila Putri was a mature dairy cow. She had got used to robotic milking in a big cow house. Her first small calf had been separated from her early.

RADHE

Radhe, the second calf of Shaila Putri, was born 4th of September, 2017. Radhe is the most beautiful calf I have ever seen. She's just got that something in her. Radhe is still spending all her time with her mother. 

SKANDA MATA & NARAYANI

Skanda Mata was born 14th of August, 2014. She came to us from the same place as Shaila Putri. She was expecting, and gave birth her first calf, Narayini, 30th of October, 2016. Both the mother and the daughter are lively and curious characters. They are also more fiery than Shaila Putri.

Skanda Mata is now pregnant and she is expected to deliver in May 2018. Afterwards, this little cow house will be full. When their milk stops, these ladies will carry on their lives as pensioners. Although, I have found encouraging stories of cows giving milk even for years without having new calves.
